Environmental Sciences Undergraduate Program

Today, scientists must be trained to assess problems and provide potential solutions from scientific perspectives when faced with environmental issues, to predict environmental change, and to participate in responsible management of the environment. To help reach these objectives, OSU's Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences offers an interdisciplinary approach to environmental problem solving.

As an Environmental Sciences major, you will:

  • Study an interdisciplinary curriculum in basic science, the humanities and social sciences.
  • Aquire a depth of knowledge in an area of specialization related to environmental sciences, typically by completing an approved relevant Option, Minor, or Certificate
  • Learn about complex environmental issues, such as global warming, conservation, sustainability, and pollution.
  • Obtain excellent training for a variety of career choices, including work with federal agencies, industry and education.
